Alderman of the 40th Ward, Andre Vasquez and Centro Romero dialogue on the work
of Centro Romero serving the Immigrant and Refugee communities.
Last week, Centro Romero’s Executive Director, Daysi Funes, as well it’s Associate Director, Diego F. Samayoa and their Resource Developer, Joseph Martens met with Alderman of the 40th Ward, Andre Vasquez to discuss the organization’s efforts in supporting emerging community needs. During the meeting, the two parties engaged in a productive conversation about the various ways in which Centro Romero serves the community.
One of the main topics discussed was the organization’s role in helping to meet the needs of immigrant and low-income families in the area.
