RECAP OF OUR 35TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY – SAY YES!

Chicago’s Hotel Allegro was the place to be on Thursday, October 17th as we celebrated thirty five years of Centro Romero’s services as well as the excitement of the canonization of Saint Oscar Romero. Father Manuel Dorantes, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Communication and Pastor of Saint Mary of the Lake joined us as keynote speaker for the evening to speak of the history and background of Monsenor Romero.

Jason Lunderman, director of Government Affairs for Comcast awarded Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago our first “Saint Romero” award, awarded to those that affect our community as a whole. Arrupe College offers liberal arts education to those who are diverse population that may not able to afford one on their own.

Board member Michael Kasprzynski awarded our Community Leadership award to the outgoing president of the Centro Romero board of directors, Sandra Arellano. For the last 6 years, Sandra has been a highly dedicated board president and although her term limit has ended, she will be staying on as a hard-working board member of Centro Romero. Michael Kasprzynski has been announced as Centro Romero’s new president of the Board of Directors.

We were so grateful for those who were able to attend our 35th Anniversary gala.
