Our agency has been hard at work this past month! Some updates
The Pueblo Unido art gallery next door recently reopened following renovations. To celebrate the occasion, musicians from our very own Youth Program put on a truly memorable concert, complete with a dazzling light show. We are happy to have our gallery up and running again! If you would like to pay a visit, or just find out more about the projects that our youth have taken on in collaboration with Columbia College Chicago, you can learn more here.
Our agency recently marked Giving Tuesday, a period of generosity to build up our communities around the world. To help us highlight the essential work that we do for the Chicago immigrant and refugee community during this important time of giving, the folks from Telemundo Chicago paid a visit to our offices to film a televised interview with our Associate Director Diego Samayoa. We appreciate their time and the important journalism that they do, and we thank all of those who choose to give generously to our organization. If you are interested in making a contribution to help support our work, you can do so here.
In our Adult Education program, we recently celebrated the graduation of the newest class of financial literacy students. Their hard work and new skills were honored in a ceremony at our offices, in which the graduates received certificates of course completion and shared written testimonies of the impact of the course skills on their personal lives. Find out more about our Adult Education offerings here.
