Celebrating 38 Years of Empowerment and Service: Centro Romero Looks Ahead to a Bright Future in 2023
On behalf of Centro Romero, Board of Directors and Advisory Board, we would like to extend our warmest wishes for a prosperous and happy year in 2023. The mission of Centro Romero is to empower those with the fewest options in the immigrant and refugee community by developing and strengthening the family unit, fostering community leadership, and providing quality social and adjustment services. In 2022, with many in-person services returning, our staff of 59, with the help of 148 volunteers who provided 5,284 service hours, empowered 33,009 clients in three programs (including 25,449 persons educated in outreach activities). As we look forward to the coming year, we are excited to expand our programs and services to better meet the needs of our community. We will continue to provide essential services such as Adult Education, job training and placement programs, and Citizenship classes. Additionally, we are looking forward to keep the amazing work that our Youth program, Family Services program and Legal Services do.
Furthermore, we are committed to being a forceful voice for our community and advocating for policies and programs that benefit our neighbors. We look forward to continuing to work closely with our local, state, and national partners to ensure that our community is being heard and supported. At Centro Romero, we are committed to continuing to serve our community and provide support and resources to those in need.
Unquestionably, we are grateful for the support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community members who have helped us forge a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. We are excited and eager to lead and guide our organization in continuing to empower immigrant and refugee communities. We are fully confident that our professional and committed Board of Directors, Advisory Board and Program Directors will provide leadership. Our staff will continue to deliver excellent services and empower our immigrant and refugee communities. Its resilience is truly inspiring!
