Wellness
Our Wellness course promotes practices of self-care, reflection, and strategies for perseverance.
The skills use to encourage personal and interpersonal problem-solving.
Our wellness course also encourages the use of activities like journal entries, presentations and stress management methods to increase self-awareness and life balance.
Health Science/Biology
This course emphasizes and introduction to biological sciences, with an emphasis on biological chemistry, cell structure and function, genetics and patterns of inheritance, and scientific problem-solving.
We also have virtual labs and simulations to reinforce content, and develop analytical skills essential to practice biology.
Reading/Social Studies
World History Project examines narratives through communities, networks, and production/distribution.
Learners use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to evaluate behaviors and patterns that have shaped humanity.
College and Career
Training is provided in thought processes and soft skills related to higher education and career-readiness, offering tools student can use to continue pursuing lifelong learning and personal and professional growth after leaving Centro Romero’s Breaking Ground Program.
Math
Learner use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to evaluate models and patterns in the world of numbers. This course has an emphasis on algebra and geometry thinking and problem solving. Manipulatives and simulations are designed to reinforce content, and develop analytical skills essential in mathematical practices.
Early Childhood Education
Explore early childhood education as we walk through all the requirements it takes to become an educator. In this course you will engage in activities, research, observation and other skills.
Healthcare Terminology
The goal of mastering healthcare terminology is to help you learn the large number of terms that describe very specific healthcare conditions or procedures in the easiest, most effective manner as possible. Learners will engage in interactive games, actiivites, labs, and scenarios that are designed specifically to make your study of healthcare terminology as efficient and enjoyable as possible.
