Our First Annual 5k Walk and Run was held on August 13 in Lincoln Park. A total of 285 persons, women, men, and children participated and enjoyed music, food, and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and each other. The date was selected because it was very close to the birthday of Saint Oscar Romero – August 15 – to commemorate this day by walking and running in solidarity with the immigrant community of Chicago.
