35 YEARS – SAY YES! CENTRO ROMERO ANNUAL EVENT 2019 – THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17TH
THIRTY FIVE YEARS:
Join Centro Romero as we celebrate three and a half decades of service to the immigrant and refugee community at “SAY YES: 35 Years– Embracing the Fabric of Our Future” on Thursday, October 17th. Starting at 6pm, the beautiful Walnut Ballroom at Hotel Allegro (171 W. Randolph St. Chicago, IL) will be filled with distinguished guests ranging from government officials, those in the medical and law industries, members of the media and plenty of others. Tonight we not only celebrate our achievements in service since 1984, but a celebration of our namesake, Oscar Romero who was canonized late last year.
Awardees include Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago as our Monsenor Romero awardee (for the first time ever– they’ll be receiving the Saint Romero Award as we’ll be changing the name from here on out) and President of the Board of Directors of Centro Romero, Sandra Arellano will be receiving the Community Leadership award.
Keynote speaker for the evening is Father Manuel Dorantes, Pastor of Saint Mary of the Lake Church in Chicago & Strategic Advisor to Vatican News.
