Hi all,

Because of the closing of our offices for the time being, I’ve set up the use of Microsoft Teams for everyone in the building.  Legal has been using it a lot recently and it’s a great resource for working together when you’re not in the same space.

With Teams, you can chat via IM, call each other, make video calls, send each other files and have specific “team” areas that you can all work in simultaneously.

Go to teams.microsoft.com and sign in with your Centro Romero email address and password.  This will ask if you’d like to download Teams to your computer, or use the web app.  Your choice.

As soon as you’re logged in you will see your department name and “general” underneath.  This essentially works as a chat room for everyone on your team.  For example, my team would say “CR Administration Dept” and it would be Daysi, Joseph and myself, so in my team, I could chat with them.

If you need to speak with someone outside of your team, search their name in the taskbar at the top and you’ll be able to contact them on a one to one basis.

If you need to contact IT, there is a CR IT department group that you can type in any issues into the chat room.

Since we’ll be out of the building and can’t physically attend the classes at St. Augustine, this is being looked at as a possible candidate for taking the classes over the web, so please play around with this as we may be doing this sooner than later.

Thank you,
Griff
